Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve gathered some of the most common questions about our aesthetic treatments at Elya Aesthetics. If you can’t find what you’re looking for below, please contact us for more information or to book a consultation.

What is Hyaluronic Acid and what brands do you use? +

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin, eyes, and joints. It helps retain moisture, keeping tissues plump and hydrated.

At Elya Aesthetics, we only use premium, CE-certified dermal filler brands such as Juvederm, Restylane, Teosyal, and Revolax.

The choice of product is tailored to each client — thinner fillers for lips and surface refinement, and denser ones for deeper contouring such as cheeks and chin.

How long will the results last? +

Results typically last between 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used, area treated, and your individual metabolism and lifestyle.

Factors such as age, exercise level, and smoking can influence longevity.

Follow-up sessions every few months help maintain results and refine your aesthetic outcome.

My filler seems to have gone down — is that normal? +

Some swelling immediately after treatment can make results appear fuller. As the swelling subsides, the filler settles naturally and integrates into the tissue.

This does not mean the product has disappeared. In some cases, clients may require a second session to achieve the desired volume or definition, especially in areas like lips or cheeks.

What are the risks? +

We use Hyaluronic Acid–based fillers, which are biocompatible and fully reversible, making adverse reactions extremely rare.

Common, temporary side effects include mild swelling, redness, or bruising, which usually resolve within a few days.

Can I have my consultation and treatment on the same day? +

Yes — most clients choose to have their consultation and treatment during the same visit. However, we’re happy to schedule a separate consultation first if you prefer time to consider your options.

I’m not sure which treatment I need. What should I do? +

That’s absolutely fine — we always begin with a detailed consultation with Miss Elya Gasanova. Together, you’ll discuss your goals, facial anatomy, and the most suitable treatment options to achieve a natural, balanced result.

Will it hurt? +

Discomfort is minimal. A strong numbing cream is applied before treatment, and most fillers contain lidocaine for additional comfort. Clients often describe the sensation as mild and brief.

Is there any downtime? +

You may experience mild redness, swelling, or bruising for up to 1–14 days. Most swelling peaks within the first 24 hours and settles quickly.

Avoid exercise, saunas, and alcohol for 24–48 hours, and do not massage the treated area unless advised.

Full results are typically visible within two weeks.

What should I expect from the results? +

At Elya Aesthetics, we focus on enhancing your natural features, not altering them. It’s important to view your treatment as an enhancement — not a complete change.

Some minor asymmetries are normal and part of every natural face. Results vary between individuals and are influenced by anatomy, metabolism, and lifestyle.

How old do I have to be for treatment? +

All clients must be 18 years or older at the time of treatment. We may ask for valid ID if you appear under 25.

What technique do you use? +

Techniques vary depending on the area and desired results. Miss Elya Gasanova uses both needle and micro-cannula techniques to ensure precision, comfort, and minimal downtime. The best approach will be discussed during your consultation.

What if I don’t like the results? +

Hyaluronic Acid fillers are fully reversible. In the rare event that you are unhappy with your results, the product can be safely dissolved using hyaluronidase.

What happens if I stop having fillers? +

Your face will gradually return to its original state as the filler naturally dissolves. It does not make your skin sag or worsen your features once it fades.

Should I have 0.5ml or 1ml of filler? +

It depends on your desired outcome and facial anatomy.

0.5ml is suitable for subtle definition or shape enhancement, while 1ml is better for visible volume and contouring. We rarely exceed 1–1.5ml per session to ensure natural tissue expansion and balance.

What is Botox / Anti-Wrinkle Treatment? +

Botulinum toxin (commonly known as Botox or Azzalure) is a safe and effective treatment used to relax facial muscles, reducing dynamic wrinkles such as frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines. It creates a smoother, more refreshed appearance without affecting natural expression.

What is the procedure like? +

The procedure takes around 10–15 minutes and requires no anaesthetic, although a numbing cream can be applied. Small amounts of toxin are injected into specific muscles using fine needles. You can return to normal activities immediately afterward.

Will I bruise after Botox or filler? +

Some clients may experience minor bruising or swelling, which subsides within a few days. Avoid touching or massaging the area for several hours post-treatment to prevent the product from moving.

How long does Botox last? +

The effects typically last 3–6 months. To maintain smooth, youthful skin, we recommend regular maintenance sessions every few months.

Can anyone have anti-wrinkle injections? +

Treatments are suitable for most healthy adults. A full medical consultation will be carried out before any procedure.

Treatment is not suitable during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or for individuals with certain neuromuscular conditions.
